A Fortran package for the calculation of the decay widths and branching ratios of the Higgs bosons and supersymmetric particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model including higher order corrections.

Description:

The Fortran package SUSY-HIT calculates the decays of the Higgs bosons and supersymmetric (SUSY) particles in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) including the most important higher order effects.

The decay programs HDECAY and SDECAY form the heart of the package. In order to get the SUSY spectrum and parameters they are linked by default to the Renormalization Group Evoluation program SuSpect. They can read in, however, any spectrum file given by another spectrum calculator if it is in SUSY Les Houches Accord (SLHA) format. The file has to be called "slhaspectrum.in".

The main program SDECAY reads in the "susyhit.in" input file where the link option for the spectrum and some for HDECAY necessary parameters can be set. SDECAY then either calls SuSpect or reads in the SLHA input file "slhaspectrum.in". SDECAY calls HDECAY and passes on the necessary masses and parameters. It calculates the SUSY particle decays and takes over the Higgs boson decays calculated by HDECAY. All masses, parameters, decay widths and branching ratios are written out in the SLHA format (the file is called "susyhit_slha.out") or in a format easy to read (called "susyhit.out").

Files:

SUSY-HIT consists of the main program file sdecay.f and of the subroutine hdecay.f (supplemented by susylha.f) for the calculation of the SUSY and MSSM Higgs particle decays. The spectrum is either taken from SuSpect, which needs the files suspect2.in, suspect2.f, twoloophiggs.f, bsg.f . Or it is taken from a spectrum file in the SLHA format provided by another spectrum calculator; the file has to be called slhaspectrum.in. The package input file is called susyhit.in. Here the user can choose the link option for the spectrum (SuSpect or not), the format of the output file and set some for HDECAY necessary parameters which are not given in the spectrum file. All results for the total decay widths and branching ratios are given in the output file either in the SLHA format called susyhit_slha.out or in a simple format, susyhit.out.

The original input files hdecay.in and sdecay.in do not exist any more. Flags which could be set in these input files are hard-coded now. This means in practice, that SDECAY will calculate by default the QCD corrections to the 2-body decays involving coloured particles, the multi-body and the loop-induced decays, the top decays and the next-to-lightest SUSY particle decays in GMSB models. The running strong coupling constant and quark masses are evaluated in the DRbar scheme at the EWSB scale. In HDECAY, higher order corrections and off-shell decays of all MSSM Higgs particles will be calculated, including the ones into SUSY particle final states.
