The decay programs HDECAY and SDECAY form the heart of the package. In order to get the SUSY spectrum and parameters they are linked by default to the Renormalization Group Evoluation program SuSpect. They can read in, however, any spectrum file given by another spectrum calculator if it is in SUSY Les Houches Accord (SLHA) format. The file has to be called "slhaspectrum.in".
The main program SDECAY reads in the "susyhit.in" input file where the
link option for the spectrum and some for HDECAY necessary parameters
can be set. SDECAY then either calls SuSpect or reads in the SLHA input
file "slhaspectrum.in". SDECAY calls HDECAY and passes on the necessary
masses and parameters. It calculates the SUSY particle decays and takes
over the Higgs boson decays calculated by HDECAY. All masses, parameters,
decay widths and branching ratios are written out in the SLHA format
(the file is called "susyhit_slha.out") or in a format easy to read
(called "susyhit.out").
The original input files hdecay.in and sdecay.in do not exist any
more. Flags which could be set in these input files are hard-coded now.
This means in practice, that SDECAY will calculate by default the QCD
corrections to the 2-body decays involving coloured particles, the
multi-body and the loop-induced decays, the top decays and the
next-to-lightest SUSY particle decays in GMSB models.
The running strong coupling constant and
quark masses are evaluated in the DRbar scheme at the EWSB scale. In
HDECAY, higher order corrections and off-shell decays of all MSSM Higgs
particles will be calculated, including the ones into SUSY particle final
states.
