 +
+I studied physics at the University of Freiburg and went to ETH Zurich
+for my doctoral studies, where I received the doctoral degree in 1998.
+This was followed by postdoctoral positions at the University of
+Guelph (Canada), Université Paris-Sud in Orsay (France), Durham
+University (UK), Hamburg University (DE) and University of Zurich (CH).
+In 2006 I received an STFC Advanced Fellowship (5 years research grant)
+hosted at the University of Edinburgh.
+In 2008 I joined the faculty of the IPPP at the Physics Department of
 +Durham University.
+From 2011 to spring 2020 I was a staff member at the Max Planck
+Institute for Physics in Munich and did my habilitation at the Technical University Munich,  before moving to Karlsruhe.
