In the upcoming particle physics colloquium (Thursday, 19.01., 15h45), we will have Juan Rojo (VU Amsterdam) giving a talk on “Do protons really contain charm quarks?”. The colloquium will take place in Kleiner Hörsaal A, and it will also be transmitted via Zoom.

Next Tuesday, 17.01. at 15h45, we will have a special particle physics seminar by Martijn Hidding (Uppsala University) about “Analytic and Numerical Methods for Feynman Integrals”. The seminar will take place in seminar room 10/1.

In today's ITP seminar (Thursday, 12.01., 14h00), we will have two talks: first, Matthias Kerner will talk about “ZH production in gluon fusion”, followed by Jannis Lang talking about “Effective field theory descriptions of Higgs boson pair production at NLO QCD”. The seminar will take place in room 12-01.

On the next Thursday, 12.01. at 15h45, we will resume our particle physics colloquium and are excited to welcome Gilles Louppe (Université de Liège) giving a talk on “Reliable Simulation-based Inference in the Physical Sciences”. The colloquium will take place in Kleiner Hörsaal A, and it will also be transmitted via Zoom.

24. – 27.11.2022: 26. Deutsche Physikerinnentagung 2022 (posted on: 06.12.2022)

The 26th German Conference of Women in Physics (Deutsche Physikerinnentagung) took place from 24 to 27 November 2022 at KIT with over 200 registered participants. The event was very successful, with a rich program that consisted of scientific talks, presentations on topics such as career perspectives, work-life balance, and equal opportunity, and allowed for many possibilities of exchange between the participants.

In the upcoming ITP seminar (Thursday, 08.12., 14h00), Felix Egle will talk about “Higgs Pair Production in a Composite 2HDM”. The seminar will take place in room 12-01.

In the upcoming particle physics colloquium (Thursday, 08.12., 15h45), we will have Michael E. Peskin (SLAC) giving a talk on “Higgs Physics and Future Colliders”. The colloquium will take place in Kleiner Hörsaal A, and it will also be transmitted via Zoom. In addition, Michael Peskin will also give a special lecture on Friday, 09.12., 14h00, on “What is the next milestone for high-energy particle colliders?” which will take place in Kleiner Hörsaal A.
